Bella Vox Box unboxing

Hello! Welcome back to my little ol'blog. It's been a couple weeks since I filmed my  unboxing for the  Bella vox box sent from influenster.

Like I said in my Video this is something anybody can get for free. All you have to do is sign up on influenster.com, take some surveys, connect your social media sites, and do some reviews on products you've tried. It's pretty simple and well worth  the time spent.  The more points/influence you have the more likely a box will be sent.  Since I'm such a product junkie I thought this would be a perfect fit!

I really loved- loved my first unboxing- the products vary in type and size which is pretty great when testing something out! Down below you will see a description of each product with my thoughts on each.

Product Line Up!

Dove Fruit-Blueberry:  Who doesn't love to snack on a little something?!  Dove Chocolate + Fruit = perfection! Smooth and  a great chocolatey taste- moderation is key with snacks like these though!

Not your Mothers DeJA Vu'DO  is a primer and style extender.  It's basically dry shampoo with a primer in cream form. This product smells AMAZING- a light scent of red apple and berries! I've been applying the product when my hair is damp and blow dry right after. I can honestly say that I've tested this little guy out and it really works! It totally keeps oilinees at bay, tames frizz & makes your hair feel super soft.  I've already purchased a full size version of this because it's just that amazing!

Rimmel Kate Scandaleyes Mascara: PERFECT 10! I pretty much love all of Rimmel's mascaras. It's a must try and the price is not bad either!

Sally Hansen Air Brush Legs: I was a little apprehensive to even try this but I eneded up falling in LOVE! I will need a darker shade in the summer but it makes your legs look flawless and the product does not come off on your clothes!

ECO Tools Mattifying Brush:  I've been using this with my powders and it seems to do the job.  If you're looking for an affordable brush to mattify and apply powder this could be the one. It's only 8.99 which is super inexpensive!   I keep it in my gym bag at work for touch ups after a sweat session!

Rimmel Lipstick from the Kate Collection in Red: I already owned this product and really liked it! the color and styaing power is pretty good with a durg store lippie!

All in all I really enjoyed all the items in my box! I'm hoping to have more Vox unboxing's in the future.

Fit French Toast Recipe

Hello!

The other day I made some yummy french toast for Tony and wanted to share the recipe.

It's not on my meal plan so I was not able to enjoy with him but it's super easy and quick to whip up!

Directions:

In a small bowl, combine, eggs, cinnamon & unsweetened almond milk ( you can add vanilla too). Stir  ingredients together. Transfer mixture into a shallow container big enough to fit a bread slice for dipping.
Meanwhile grease pan with a little coconut oil. While the pan is heating up dip  bread into mixture. Fry slices until golden brown, then flip to cook on other side.

Spread any nut butter of your choice  on the french toast and top with  banana slices and a little sugar free syrup if it fits your macros of course!

December Empties & Reviews

Hello!!

I can't believe Christmas is already around the corner. This is my first empties post and it's pretty fruitful since I've been collecting empties for awhile. I know when purchasing products the first thing I do is look up reviews so I'm hoping my mini reviews are helpful!  Let's get Started.

Hair:

Redken Color Extend Shampoo

I got the smaller bottle so that I could test it out before committing to the 33 oz bottle.  All in all this was a great shampoo. It had a great smell  and it really helped my hair retain the purple color a lot longer.  I will be repurchasing the bigger bottle next time I'm at Cosmo prof (it's a lot cheaper at a professional hair store).  This is a complete must if you have color treated hair!

Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil-Primer

I don't know how I've been living without this product for this long! It's a complete miracle worker, it's completely changed my hair.  I spray this on my hair when it's damp (sometimes dry too for flyaways
). I bought  this for the heat protectant properties. After I started using it I realized that it really met all it's claims.  Totally softened, detangled, de-frizzed, and protected my hair!  I will be repurchasing the larger bottle of this as well.  


Not Your Mother's Knotty to Nice Conditioning Detangler

I seriously should buy stock in detangler. I have a lot of hair but it's very fine which makes it  annoyingly knotty so I'm forced to add detangler to my everyday arsenal.  This one in particular did NOT make it to my favorites list.  I felt like it weighed my hair down, didn't even help in the detangling department and to top it off the smell was so off-putting.  I will NOT be repurchasing this product ever again. 


Matrix Design Pulse Hard Lock Hair Spray

I've been using this hairspray for  a couple years now. This stuff is amazing it truly keeps your hair in place (frozen) without looking slicked down. It dries almost instantly and doesn't create any stickyness. It might be a little hard to brush out if you're using a lot of product but I've never really ran into that issue. I can put some of this in my hair and still put my fingers through my hair. This is one of my HOLY GRAIL hair sprays, I will continue to repurchase!

Kenra Volume Spray Super Hold #25

HOLY GRAIL hair spray!  This one has been give a stylist choice award for a reason.  It smells amazing, gives great volume and hold throughout the day. I brought this to Mexico with me and it even preformed  great in humid weather.  This is an obvious repurchase!

Paul Mitchell Straightener
I purchased this straightener almost 10 years ago at a hair and beauty show. I have nothing but great things to say about the quality of this product.  If I could find this exact model I would definitely repurchase. 

Phew, that was a lot of hair products!

Face:

Derma Doctor-Litmus Test Glycolic Acid Facial Cleansing Gel

I was really intrigued by all the claims on the cute little box. This is a foaming gel cleanser that is suppose to be free of detergents or anything that will strip or irritate the skin. I really enjoyed this cleanser overall.  It helped remove most of my make up and never left my skin feeling dry. It also helped clear up some issues I was having.  This was a definite win in my book!  I will be repurchasing this product again. 


Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths

I did not like this product at all. The cloths were dry and did not aid in make up removal at all. The texture of the cloth was not made with the face in mind. Total letdown. I will NOT be repurchasing this product.

Heritage Rosewater & Glycerin

This stuff is bomb.com! Yep, I just said that:) This is another product I've been using for years on and off. I always get lured into other more expensive toners but always end up coming back to this one! It's inexpensive and does the job. I typically spray this directly onto my skin or put it on a cotton ball . It's refreshing, moisturizing and has an amazing scent!  I will forever and always repurchase.

Olay Fresh Effects Long Live Moisture

I bought this for my gym bag and absolutely fell in love. The scent was not over powering at all. The lotion was light and absorbed quickly into the skin which is great when you're on the go. It also didn't lead to breakouts which is a definite plus in my book. I will be repurchasing this for my gym bag!

Philosophy- Purity Cleanser

This is by far one of the best everyday cleansers. It completely strips your face of all makeup yet it's very gentle not he skin. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and cleansed, best feeling in the world! I'm indifferent about the scent so that didn't sway my decision either way. I will continue to repurchase this product! Total HG status:)

Philosophy- Hope in a Jar

I was looking forward to testing this product, as I knew it was a cult favorite. Boy was I letdown! The smell is awful and the consistency feels weird on my skin. Needless to say I will NOT be repurchasing this product. 

Dr. Ohhira's Probiotic Kampuku Beauty Bar

This is another favorite and something that's been in my gym bag for the last 4 years. It's a gentle everyday soap. I love using it when I have two a days so that sweat doesn't sit on my skin. If I were to leave it I would break out and nobody has time for that:) I will continue to repurchase this item that's for sure!

Urban Decay B6 Vitamin Infused Complexion Prep Spray

I initially received this product as a sample and liked it but wasn't enough to really gage how well it worked.  I typically use this right after I shower or wash my face prior to moisturizer. It feels amazing when sprayed onto the skin and absorbs quickly.  I felt like it reduced the redness in my cheeks but didn't notice a change in pore size. If you're going on vacation to hot/humid place this should be a staple in your beauty bag. I kept the sample size in my gym bag to refresh after a workout which really worked out great. Overall I felt like it made my skin glow, reduced redness and helped retain moisture on my dry skin! I obviously really enjoy this product and have repurchased it since!

Este Lauder- Advanced Night Repair Serum

I enjoyed the sample size but did not notice a huge difference. Still on the fence about purchasing the actual size.  This product has nothing but great reviews on all sites making this my first  Maybe! 

Lancome Energie De Vie

I enjoyed the smell and skin felt very moisturized but will be sticking with Lancome High Resolution Refill 3X.


Makeup:

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Spot Concealer- Brightner

This stuff is bomb.com!  I use this to highlight my face as well as brighten the under eye. It makes you look alive and is a cheaper alternative to the touché éclat or Mac prep and prime brighteners. I will be repurchasing this again and again!

Katy Perry Lashes-Eylure (Punk Princess)

Ultimate favorite lashes! I'm teaching myself how to apply which is a hard task in itself but these are gorgeous and the packaging is spectacular. They are easy to apply &  look amazing! I have already repurchased a handful of these!

Smashbox Photo Hydrating Foundation Primer

This is holy grail status on the primer front! It's so hydrating without feeling greasy. I went through a patch of time where my skin was super dry and this really helped. I will not go without this product! Yes, this is an obvious repurchase!

Benefit Gimme Brow (Medium/Deep)

This brow product is a game changer! It filled in the sparse areas of my brows (fibers help do that) while keeping them in place and groomed all day!  This does not get flakey, runny or feel cakey at all! It's  a fool proof way to get your brows on point! I'm on my 4th one since the product came out and have recommended to basically everyone I know! Yes, I will continue to repurchase this!

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara

Another loved product! I will always have this in my mascara arsenal.  It lengthens, defines and separates without clumping at all!  I typically partner this mascara with Loreal's Carbon Black and it legitimately looks like i'm wearing falsies! Definite, repurchase!

Perfume:

Gucci Guilty
Had a luxurious and rich scent! Absolutely loved this for the winter time. Would repurchase in the future!


Supplements:

Jack3D Micro

Both my fiancé and I loved the product, it gave us a boost of energy and a good pump.  I never crashed after taking this but beware if taken to late you might be up all night tossing and turning! It totally helps you get the last few reps which is a win in my book. We have repurchased this since we ran out. No jitters, great energy boost, no beta alanine (tends to give me an itchy feel all over my body)  and  most importantly no crash makes this a great pre-workout!

Love is in the Air

I am very excited to share that Tony  and I got engaged while vacationing in Cancun celebrating our best friends wedding. I am beyond thrilled and excited to be marrying my best friend and lover! My family had the sweetest celebration waiting for us when we got home.   

While we were there my sister decided to take some OOTD pictures for my little blog.

Believe

 This really hit home with me. I'm going to make this apart of my New Year's Goals. I tend to be very hard on myself.  I will believe in 2013 <3

 

Keep Believing in Yourself and Your Special Dreams:

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren't the way you had hoped they would be. That's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. 

There are times when people disappoint you and let you down. Those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions. 

Keep your life focused on believing in yourself and all that you are capable of. 

 

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them. 

Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are, and you will also see yourself developing into the person you have always wanted to be.

So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities,remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be, because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.
